As the header suggests we’re a tops-off music blog. We love nothing better than getting stripped down to the waist and giving it plenty on the dancefloor.
When I heard the mix Moustache Mamas did for Soul Clap I wanted a bit of the action and they’ve not disappointed.
‘Ode to 102’ is a fierce mix of dancefloor destroyers that’s certain to get your juices flowing.
Here’s a bit of info on the girls, in their own words.
“What happens when one Northerner & a North American meet up in a dirty East London basement? Space and time stand still…gravity shifts, and a unicorn gets its wings…
Helen Burnip & Tamara Deike are the Moustache Mamas.
The duo formed through their love of classic & psychedelic rock, 80’s obscura & pop, new & old disco.
Based in London & Berlin, the Mamas are residents at Hotboxx, a monthly throwdown at the Kleine Reise in Berlin. From dodgy basements to fashion shows – the Mamas have been building their repertoire of venues; having performed alongside the likes of Soul Clap, Maurice Fulton, Catz n Dogz, Ray Mang, Hot Chip DJ’s, Aeroplane, Thunderheist, Bonde Du Role & more!
Voted by Time Out Magazine London as ‘Ones to Watch’ in 2009…
Bring your party-pants & get your lip fur ready! These girls will bring the fracas.”
No tracklist on this one so get spotting.
