Emotion : Raging Horn

Artist : Bappi Lahiri

Track : Come Closer

Album : Kassam Paida Karnewale Ki

Release Details : EMI, 1984

This is an amazing track but unfortunately I’m not massively clued up in Urdu, Punjabi or anything other than English really so, sadly, I’ve never been able to establish what the gist of this track is.

Here’s what I think they’re singing about…

Rita Monico – Thrilling (Main Title)

Super rare track suggested by our good friend Rob Hyde again. Luckily for him I have a large soundtrack collection.

Emotion : Guilt

Artist : Rita Monico & Ennio Morricone

Track : Thrilling (Main Title)

Release Details : Never officially released

Table for two in ‘Eataly’, Grove Farm Triangle Retail Park, just outside Leicester.
It had become a pre-AGM ritual. Arriving in separate cars. Both up for the same award this year, extra tension.
I’d booked us in the Marriott near the M1 exit, one of my favourite hotels in the world.

Zucchini fritti for Kate. Dough balls for me. Just like old times.
I could never leave Sally and the kids, it went without saying.

Track : The Seduction (Love Theme)

Album : American Gigolo – Official Soundtrack

Friday night is love making night. Everyone knows that. So, you go out into town this weekend and you pull a cracker. Fantastic, but what do you choose as the track of choice when you get back to your gaff?

  • Dubstep – It’s very now but it’s hardly likely to get her fired up – No.
  • House – Too fast, you’d end up fucking it up – No.
  • RnB – cliched – No.
  • Amy Winehouse – Fuck off eh – No.
  • Cosmic – She’d think you were weird – No.
  • Techno – Depends who you’ve pulled but I’d say – No.

So that’s where this one comes in. All sexy pads and sinister rumbling keys. Aw Yeah. Serious. Get in on next time you plan to get it on.

Emotional Pop guarantees you’ll get some *

*No guarantees.

Mix: Rob Hyde – Glory of Montage

Rob is a lad who understands emotion. He also understands that life’s tasks need to be soundtracked – preferably using soundtrack music.

Whilst browsing his excellent Chips With Everything blog I came across a link for his ‘Glory of Montage’ mix.

This is truly magnificent stuff. In Rob’s own words

“It’s perfect for doing cocaine in the gym to, or for training intensively over a period of 6 months, whatever floats your boat.”

Absolutely massive. Tracklist is below, mix originall hosted over at Akira the Don.

Tracklisting:

  • You’re the Best – Joe Esposito (Karate Kid OST)
  • The Touch – Stan Bush (Transformers Movie OST 1986)
  • Sister Christian – Night Ranger (Boogie Nights OST)
  • Fight to Survive – Stan Bush (Bloodsport OST)
  • Dangerzone – Kenny Loggins (Top Gun OST)
  • Push it to the Limit – Giorgio Moroder / Paul Engemann / Pete Bellotte (Scarface OST)
  • Glory of Love – Peter Cetera (Karate Kid 3 OST)
  • Montage – (Team America:World Police OST)
