At around 3pm on Friday I attended a work BBQ where I had provided the music for the evening. Sultry music for a balmy afternoon’s pleasant drinking on the balcony at a plush Manchester bar. This actually ended around 9pm with us being ejected from the venue and me talking loudly about ‘music for fingering’…
The last tune I heard was this beast by Joyce Sims and it was played the day after on the radio as we were driving across to Burnley for my cousin’s 18th Birthday party, a quiet gathering of friends and family in the tree lined secluded back garden. This also took a turn for the worse – highlights include
- Heading into Burnley Town Centre with around a dozen 18 year olds
- Drinking a cocktail that contained Gin, Tequila and Vodka
- Getting Pink Highlighter all over a brand new Ralph Lauren shirt
- Wrecking a brand new pair of canvas trainers
- Insulting a girl in a kebab shop
- Getting barred from a club
- Spending £60 in 2 hours
- Throwing omelette all over a taxi
- Getting locked out of my house
- Climbing a 6ft fence and losing my wedding ring
- Finding my wedding ring then falling asleep in the back garden
- Waking up at 6am completely soaked in the rain
